and budget between agencies.
Each Sheriff's Office has different divisions and
responsibilities. Some may be responsible for
operating a jail, an emergency 911 communications center, or
an animal services function. Others do not.
Some Sheriff's Offices also provide contract law
enforcement services for incorporated cities, or have a
large number of independent municipal police agencies
providing service outside of the Sheriff's Office.
